Bliss and Hudson

The history. The redevelopment. The questions ahead.

Created for the Hudson Town Forum, this film explores Hudson’s changing population, the history of Bliss Towers and Columbia Apartments, and the redevelopment now being pursued by the Hudson Housing Authority and Mountco.

Through historical photographs, population data and architectural renderings, it explains the proposed development’s two phases and the questions surrounding financing, demolition and the future of the neighborhood. What happens if Phase 1 is completed but Phase 2 is delayed—or never happens? The film also introduces Bliss Gardens, the alternative concept being developed by Project7Hudson.

Prepared for the November 5, 2026 Town Forum at Time & Space Limited, hosted by Friends of Second Street and Project7Hudson.
